How to pick a ZOMAKE size without guessing

Count the people under the umbrella
One person with a bag: a compact of 42 to 46 inches. Two walking close: 62 inches. Two and a golf bag: 68. The size is the arc, measured over the top of the open canopy; straight across it is a little less, about 53 inches on a 62 inch arc.

Measure the bag it has to fit in
A golf umbrella does not fold. If the umbrella lives in a laptop bag or a glove box, you want a compact that closes to about 12.8 inches, and the canopy size follows from that.

Pack the day, then read the liters
Put what you carry on a table: water, a layer, lunch, a phone. That usually fills 20 liters. Add a rain shell and food for two and you are at 30 or 35.

Decide whether it travels folded
The packable packs fold into their own pocket and weigh around half a pound, so they can live in a suitcase. If the pack is for every day and a laptop, choose the one with a laptop compartment instead.

Measure from the floor to your hand
Stand with your arm relaxed and measure from the floor to your fingertips. That is the shoe horn length that lets you stay upright, usually the 28.5 or 31.5 inch horns. Sit on the chair you use by the door and measure again: that is your length if you sit, often 16 to 23 inches.

Match the clamp to the armrest
The clip-on umbrella closes around a square or round armrest. Measure the rail of the chair you will use it on before you order.
